Zoo Lights

Monday night we finally made it to Zoo Lights. The Oregon Zoo puts on a light display every year and Sue had asked if we'd go with her. Then the horrid weather hit and we never made it. Due to them being closed most of last week they decided to extend it another week. On Christmas we found out Nana was so excited for us to go to Zoo Lights for she got us a year membership to the zoo! She had wanted to give it to us when we went to Zoo Lights but "had" to give it to us instead at Christmas. Not being very familiar and surprisingly knowing very few Portlanders personally who had gone to Zoo Lights, my hopes were not high. We were pleasantly surprised! Not only were light lights amazing, but we got to see baby Sam! For those that don't know, one of the elephants at the zoo had a baby 4 months ago, his name is Samudra. He is TOO cute! He was feeding his mother hay when we were watching him, it was just too adorable. After walking around we hopped on the zoo train. We had such a great night!
Notice how in all the pictures Abi is never looking...it's because she was too fascinated with all the lights!
